Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of The Pokémon Company, confirmed yesterday morning that they will in fact be supporting Nintendo’s upcoming console codenamed NX. While being interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, he stated that; “We will make games for the NX.”
Much speculation and rumors about Nintnedo’s “soon to be announced” console have been spreading wildly across the internet, more now than ever before. The largest rumor, in which is trusted by the majority of the Nintendo fan community, comes from a Eurogamer report from late July. It stated that sources of theirs have confirmed that the NX will be a “Hybrid” console, as well as have detachable controllers. Tsunekazu may have teased the hybrid part of this rumor during his Wall Street interview yesterday, saying; “The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a handheld device,”.
Fans are getting very antsy for the NX reveal, and Nintendo has yet to state very much information.
The reveal is speculated to occur no later than October.
